Bless your heart! I totally understand about it not being the same without your dh. I will be praying for you, your dh and your dc as you go through the holiday season apart.

We used to celebrate with friends whose husbands also were deployed. And we had a wonderful time (same with New Year's Eve). Enjoy your evening with your friend. And be assured that Andy will have a great meal, too (usually they go out of their way in the chow halls for the holidays).
