BFS: Computers Help People Help People

Memory Verse: Ephesians 4:29

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Assignment:
Share some of your favorite homeschooling sites. The only “rule” for this assignment is that you have to list at least one “free” site. Many homeschooling families have made the choice to live on very little income to do what they believe is best for their children and I want everyone to be able to benefit from this assignment. If you have other sites that are “paid” sites, feel free to include these also as it might be something someone would really appreciate. If you feel led, share your curriculum choices with us. I always love to learn what is out there that I don’t already know about. Please make sure to include links to the sites you share.

Here are some of my favorites:

1. Tapestry of Grace The curriculum we use. I love it :)
2. BrainPop! My kids love these short, informative, funny videos.
3. Homeschool Tracker They have a free version to download.
4. Ambleside Online Charlotte Mason
5. Notebookingpages.com Great notebooking pages!!
6. Notebooking Nook More notebooking pages - freebies too!
7. Home School in the Woods Timeline figures.
8. Knowledge Quest Geography Books, Maps
9. Hold That Thought! Notebooking Pages
10. HymnSite.com
11. Word Search Maker
12. National Wildlife Federation: Green Hour
13. The Character Journal Great information on different virtues.
14. History for Kids Lots of history stuff for kids!
15. 1001 Good Books List at Classial Christian Education Support Loop

I wanted to check out your blog, but every time I load it the text doesn't show up. I'm seeing a white background. Is your background not loading for me? Why can't I see any of the text in your posts? I can only see the links, which show up in black.

Sorry to be a bother, but I would love to be able to read what I'm missing!

Thanks for stopping by my Veritas at Home blog. It is good to have you.

Hello again-
I tried it again using firefox rather than safari and now I'm able to see the background. Sorry about the confusion!! I'm enjoying reading it now. :)

Hi~I found your blog through a link from a friend. We are an Air Force family with orders to Eileson AFB in Feb. I enjoyed perusing your blog and would love to learn more about your area of Alaska. We were stationed at Elmendorf AFB 2 1/2 years ago and LOVED it there.

Beth,
Please let me know if you have any questions on the area up here. I would be more than happy to help you out :)

Amy,
I'm so glad you were able to figure out how to read the blog. I'm not sure why it isn't visible in safari - or if there is anything I can do to change it :)

I love reading your blog by the way!

Hi Jennifer, I really enjoyed your post this week and all the hs sites you have listed are some of my favorites too. I'll have to go to BrainPop to check it out. It seems like I've been there a few times but I don't really remember a lot about it. Thank you for sharing.
