I took the kids to see the new Harry Potter movie this morning. I now realize why I always wait for the DVD to come out. For 4 of us (with snacks of course) it came to $60!! That seems absolutely insane to me for a simple trip to the movies. Not to mention the 4 bathroom trips I had to make. I like having a pause button :)
It was worth it though, because the kids enjoyed themselves and got some special time with me. I dropped the younger two off at hourly care on post (for free!) and we enjoyed 5 whole hours to ourselves. I have to admit that it was nice.
I don't think we'll be going back to the theater anytime soon though. Once or twice a year is enough for me :)

1. Movies overseas are free. Volunteer for tour to Korea.
2. I LOVE that the younger ones go to the CDC and I get to hang out with the older two. They are fun!

We are going to see the movie today, my husband and I. We are actually paying for a sitter (a once a year treat) and crossing our fingers the baby takes a bottle from her better than he does from us. HP is a big enough deal to me that I consider the cost special enough.

That is absurd--$60!! But some movies just must be seen at the theater. I need to take my kids to see HP soon!
I am glad you and the girls got to go out to a movie together. I am sure they loved it, but I know that $60 is crazy! That is why Dan and I have Netflix it is way cheaper.
$100 dollars is what it cost us to see it with our 4 kids. My husband was thinking he maybe should have just let me take the older two to the midnight showing. Oh well, we all had a great time and loved the movie.
