Kate is soggy :)

Kate spent a very wet, but enjoyable week at camp. She got to come home every evening and then return in the morning - which is a good idea for the 6 yr old set. They did archery, horseback rides, hiking, Bible study, canoeing, arts and crafts, and all sorts of other fun things.

I am really proud of the way she interacted with the other kids. There was a girl who showed up a couple of days late to camp. She was the "new girl" and was also on crutches (permanently) and moved around slowly. Kate quickly befriended her and bought her some pretty bracelets at the camp shop. She also waited up for her when going to various activities. Kate's camp counselor ("Twister" - they all had weather names this year) went out of her way to tell me that she was so excited about the way that Kate had showed her kindness this week. I've always known that Kate has a big heart. I am very proud of her :)

She is sad to be done with camp, but excited that Daddy should be home in a couple of days!! She will miss her new friends and all of the great counselors at camp.
