I Heart Faces: Sepia Kids

This week's theme at I Heart Faces is Sepia. I love Sepia!! I often use the sepia setting on my camera and take them in it instead of editing them later. This one was a black and white shot though and I used picnik to change it into a sepia.

I remember this day well. It was back in April when the snow was finally really starting to melt. It was still cold outside though and not a very nice day to play. We had somewhere we had to go shortly, so I wouldn't let Lexie go out and play. Can you see the longing in her poor little eyes?? She really wanted some fresh air, and I don't blame her. Alaska winters are long and we all are itching to get outside when April rolls around! Of course, now that it's warm and gorgeous outside, do you think that I can get them to stay out there for long??

I can't wait to see everyone's sepia photos this week. To join in the fun, or just to check out all of the beautiful pictures, go to iheartfaces.com

P.S. Does anyone know how to make the neat little heart shape in I heart faces instead of typing out the word?? Thanks!

♥ (on a laptop) Fn+Alt+the "L" key has a blue 3, I think that blue 3 can be on different keys on different computers, so look for the blue 3

♥ (on desktop) use the number pad to click Alt+3

She is precious! I think you can copy the heart from a symbols chart and paste it into your text. I know they exist, because I use one for twitter but have been to lazy to seek 'em out lately.

Sweet picture and I love the little story to go along with it.

As far as the how to make the heart I just copy and past from the site. I think it's a <3 (less than sign and the #3) to type it but not positive as I've tried it and haven't had much luck.

They say a photo is a 1000 words, it is definitely true with this photo. You can just see the longing and thoughts coming through. Great photo.

Beautiful picture and beautiful family! We are homeschoolers also :) I've only been to Alaska once and that was a layover in Anchorage on the way to Okinawa. That was a long time ago though. I would love to visit there one day. My oldest daughter just signed up for the army. She leaves September 3rd.
Good luck with the contest & have a blessed day!!
