Ellie is 10 and in the 5th/6th grade this year. She loves dancing, doing art projects, traveling, and of course reading. She reads all day long, leaving a trail of books behind her :)
Kate is 7 and does 2nd and 3rd grade work this year. She likes to move!! She loves anything hands-on and doesn't want to sit for too long :)
Lexie is 5 and is in the 1st grade. She is becoming quite a good reader and is enjoying math. Lexie LOVES to talk, just ask her :)
Nick is 3. He loves trains, trucks, planes, and anything that moves. Keeping him occupied during the school day is a constant challenge :) He knows his letters and can count. He likes to work on puzzles and to play with math manipulatives. I am hoping that I can keep him busy and out of trouble while we're working this year!
Tori Rose is 1 and a half and such a joy!! She loves to play with her baby dolls, listen to music, and talk.
Holy Cow! I've never lived in Alaska but I have lived in Montana and now in South Dakota where it dips down to -20 often enough to get one to pause... but -40!!!!! You are a very very brave woman.
OMG, I can't even imagine. And seeing the ice on the inside of your window... how cold/warm is it inside your house? One thing is for sure, Alaska is off my list for places to live...
My house is in between 65-70 degrees. To make matters worse, the cold water pipe to my kitchen sink froze today and I can't seem to thaw it. NO, you definitely don't want to live here!!!
We are using a very eclectic mixture of curriculum and living books in our homeschooling journey. It is always changing, depending on each child and what works best for them. We are using a mostly classical method with a Charlotte Mason influence.

I love your background btw.
OH MY! I think we are in trouble moving from Mississippi to Fairbanks! We lived in Anchorage, but we never saw temps like this. I'm scared!
