Homeschool Mothers do a lot in a day…. I’d say they do more than the working mom because they have to care for the kids, the house, the meals, and much more. They are constantly on the go and with the kids! Sometimes you just need a break. You need to sit down and have a break. While I’m not a mom - YET - I know there I are times I need to sit down for a breather.
THEME: This week I’d like to invite you to share what YOUR “Mom” help is. Some drink coffee, soda, or chai-tea. Others check email or read their favourite blogs. Some talk a walk…. what do you do when you need to clear your head and take a breather?
Lately, I haven't had much of a breather. It seems like I'm going, going, going, constantly. Someone always seems to be awake and needing something. I know that I need to start finding these small moments during the day to keep myself sane over the coming months :)
When I have a minute to myself, I like to: blog, read my email, have a cup of hot cocoa, watch Pride and Prejudice or Wives and Daughters for the billionth time, read in bed, or listen to music.
Also, I just got myself an ipod and it plugs right into my treadmill. It makes walking on there so much more enjoyable - and it makes me walk faster than I was going before. I am hoping to make the time to get on there every day. It energizes me and clears my mind.
Scripture: Psalm 139 - O LORD you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD...

I enjoyed reading your post this week. :) Great scripture!
Oh, I hear you! We LOVE Pride and Prejudice. It's my 14 year old daughter's favorite story of all time. We're reading Wuthering Heights now. We'll have to check out Wives and Daughters.
I'm also going to get a ipod! The music energizes me too - I need that motivation! LOL
Love your blog!
Your blog is so pretty! Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Your blog is full of goodness! Great scripture!
Your relaxing sounds similar to mine. But I wouldn't call the treadmill relaxing. That's work for me--ipod or DVD or not. LOL
You have a beautiful blog. Are you really from North Pole, Alaska? I like that you put up a weather-flag. I'm always curious as to what the sun is doing (or not doing) up there (as winter approaches)
Yes, we really live in North Pole, Alaska and the days are getting really short! We lose seven minutes of light a day until the winter solstice (Dec 21) when we only have a few hours of daylight. Honestly, that is even harder to deal with than the cold :)
Wonderful Scripture! :D Love your blog! :D
I love Pride and Prejudice, too. :)
I'll have to check out the Wives and Daughters. BTW, I love you blog design. Absolutely beautiful!!
