Ellie is 10 and in the 5th/6th grade this year. She loves dancing, doing art projects, traveling, and of course reading. She reads all day long, leaving a trail of books behind her :)
Kate is 7 and does 2nd and 3rd grade work this year. She likes to move!! She loves anything hands-on and doesn't want to sit for too long :)
Lexie is 5 and is in the 1st grade. She is becoming quite a good reader and is enjoying math. Lexie LOVES to talk, just ask her :)
Nick is 3. He loves trains, trucks, planes, and anything that moves. Keeping him occupied during the school day is a constant challenge :) He knows his letters and can count. He likes to work on puzzles and to play with math manipulatives. I am hoping that I can keep him busy and out of trouble while we're working this year!
Tori Rose is 1 and a half and such a joy!! She loves to play with her baby dolls, listen to music, and talk.
It's not going to be the same without Andy here :( My friend Michelle and her daughter are coming over for dinner though and I know we'll have a good time!

Bless your heart! I totally understand about it not being the same without your dh. I will be praying for you, your dh and your dc as you go through the holiday season apart. I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving and hope you have a great time with your friend. :) Blessings and hugs, Vania
We used to celebrate with friends whose husbands also were deployed. And we had a wonderful time (same with New Year's Eve). Enjoy your evening with your friend. And be assured that Andy will have a great meal, too (usually they go out of their way in the chow halls for the holidays).
We are using a very eclectic mixture of curriculum and living books in our homeschooling journey. It is always changing, depending on each child and what works best for them. We are using a mostly classical method with a Charlotte Mason influence.
