X mas ornament on tree
I was told about a great website today: Support Military Heroes. They have a program called "Operation Christmas Tree", where you can donate $25 to have a 1 1/2-2 ft live Christmas Tree sent to soldiers serving overseas. The tree comes with lights and decorations, and the price includes shipping!
If you know of someone serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, you can have the tree sent directly to them. Even if you don't, you can still donate and they will send one to a soldier for you. What a great program! I ordered one for my husband this morning so that it can at least smell like Christmas there. :)
Their goal is to send out 7,000 trees this year and they were at 378 this morning. They will be taking orders until November 26th, and the trees will all be shipped out on December 1st.

Hey, I didn't realize that you (1) blogged, or (2) homeschooled. Good luck!!! (PS it was nice to see the "dismounts" as your DH puts it)
