The Simple Woman's Daybook
FOR TODAY March 9th 2009...
Outside my window...it's still dark. That darn daylight savings time is messing with us this morning. I feel like I shouldn't be awake yet!
I am thinking...that I need to get some extra sleep tonight.
I am thankful for...a week off from chauffering the kids around to all of their classes.
From the learning rooms...Ancient Rome, reading the story of Aeneas, weathering and erosion.
From the kitchen...my son is sitting on my lap, begging for sausage and pancakes, so that's what it looks like I'll be making momentarily. :) Orange juice too!
I am wearing...a T-shirt and "yoga" pants - not that I'm doing yoga!
I am creating...memories with my kids this week. We have a lot more time together at home and I'm planning on spending it wisely!
I am going...absolutely nowhere today.
I am reading...I'm in between books right now. I'm about to start Our Mutual Friend, by Charles Dickens.
I am hoping...that spring comes soon - actually not just spring, but spring-like weather!
I am hearing...the sounds of the washer and dryer, and my little boy's breathing on my shoulder.
Around the house...schoolwork, baking, menu planning, maybe some school planning for next year.
One of my favorite things...Girl Scout cookies! Luckily (or maybe unluckily, I'm not sure yet) I have 2 Girl Scouts in the house :)
A few plans for the rest of the week: taking the kids to see the World Ice Art Championships
Here is picture thought I am sharing...

first, i have to say that I love the look of your blog, it is so artistic, and even the fonts are creative!
love the moose, I wish I had that much wildlife outside my window...
much grace and peace to you this week,
Stopping over from the main daybook site...my 3-year-old and I enjoyed the picture of your backyard moose. We live in California and would never see anything like that...although she did ask if SHE could have a moose in her backyard too, so she could ride on it. :)
And now I am being instructed to make her some hot tea!
Have a great week!
