The Simple Woman's Daybook #5

FOR TODAY : November 10, 2008

Outside my window... it is still pitch black outside although it is almost 8:30. The sun won't come up until after 9. We are losing precious daylight as we get closer to the winter solstice.

I am thinking...that I need to get up this early more often. I was able to go on the treadmill for 45 minutes this morning and I feel great (but tired!). We'll see if I can do it again tomorrow.

I am thankful for... a phone call from my husband this morning. It was so good to hear his voice.

From the learning rooms... We will be studying stars and constellations in science (FUN!) We are going to be studying Ancient India for social studies.

From the kitchen... Grocery shopping today. I am hoping for some good fresh fruit.

I am wearing... sweaty clothes after my workout

I am creating...I am starting on my Christmas newsletter. You can never start too early!!

I am going... shopping and to 3 hours of dance classes.

I am reading...a digital scrapbooking magazine.

I am hoping...that we can get through the day without too much crankiness (I got the kids up 2 hours earlier than before and they are a tad grumpy - they had been sleeping in WAY too late though).

I am hearing... My 4 yr old reading an easy reader to me. Sweet music to my ears :)

Around the house...Same old stuff - washing diapers, putting away laundry, cleaning out the really dirty truck, maybe cleaning out my desk if I have the time.

One of my favorite things... My brand new 2 day old ipod!!! Yes, I have entered the modern age :) I can't believe I held out so long. It's so COOL!!

A few plans for the rest of the week: We are going to be putting together boxes for Operation Christmas Child. The kids are very excited to go shopping to fill their boxes with lots of fun stuff :)

Here is picture thought I am sharing...the funnest toys are free :)

Great to read your daybook! We are also doing Tapestry year one. We just finished our India study. We're on China now (taking two weeks). My ds is also an early reader (he is five and reads at about a third grade level). He's often lost in a book somewhere. :) I will be praying for you during this lonely time. :)

Great daybook, and I enjoyed reading it. All my babies are in their 20's, so no homeschool here, but you're in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

Take Care...
