Sick Day

Today we had a sick day. Kate has a possible case of strep throat. Her culture came back negative, but the doctor was pretty sure that is what she has (maybe too early to detect). She also had 2 ear infections (but no pain in her ears, thankfully!) She is taking her medicine now and is already feeling much better.

We could have continued to do school today, but I decided to give them a nice day of rest (ok, me too!). They have been watching a couple of their favorite movies: National Treasure and National Treasure 2. We skipped our extracurricular activities today - and we will for the next couple of days. Although I would never wish for her to be sick, this has turned into a blessing in disguise and is going to give us some much-needed down time (with an excuse!)
