The Simple Woman's Daybook #7

FOR TODAY : November 24, 2008
Outside my window...is a very slippery street. I can sit from my window and watch people slide as they try to go up the road. I wish someone would put some sand down.
I am thinking...that the days are getting very short. I miss the daylight.
I am thankful for...finishing my quarterly reports last Friday. I am much relieved :)
From the learning rooms...We are taking it slow this week. I think we will work on schoolwork here and there while I use the extra time off to get myself organized and well-rested.
From the kitchen...Banana bread made by my 9 yr old daughter. I am so proud of her!
I am wearing...exercise pants and a t-shirt. I'm about to jump on the treadmill.
I am creating...stockings full of goodies for my children's coaches and teachers.
I am going...to dance class and grocery shopping.
I am reading...Family Tree Magazine
I am hoping...that I get everything done on my to-do list
I am hearing...the hum of my computer and my kids chatting upstairs
Around the house...Ellie has become quite the baker. I think she's going to try another recipe today.
One of my favorite things...a cup of tea or cocoa on a cold day
A few plans for the rest of the week: Thanksgiving at home with a friend and her daughter and a much-needed break this week from most of our classes.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Walnut Banana Bread that Ellie (9) made yesterday. I'm so proud of her!
